Convergence launch party crashed by Convergence Clones

On Friday evening, Mike French had a launch party for the print edition of his latest novel, Convergence – the final part of the Dandelion Trilogy. If you’ve read it yet* you’ll know that Convergence Clones are an important aspect of the future portrayed in the book, not least because it enables the USA to repeatedly have Ronald Reagan as president. Thanks to the intrepid work of Mike’s friends and colleagues at ATP Media in Luton, the party was filled with Convergence Clones of both Reagan and Mike French himself. Most of the guests were amused, although Mike found it quite eerie when confronted by his own clone. The evening was hosted by the ebullient Josh Hodson, some speeches were made (even by Elsewhen’s very own Pete), Mike read an excerpt, drinks were drunk, nibbles were nibbled, books were signed; overall a jolly good time was had by all.
