FIRST LOOK – The cover of Bookworm III: The Best Laid Plans

We can reveal the cover for the next title in Christopher Nuttall’s bestselling, award-winning, Bookworm series.

Bookworm III, subtitled The Best Laid Plans, continues the story from the Bookworm II, The Very Ugly Duckling. Elaine and Johan are preparing to leave Golden City, with Daria and the travellers, in order to search for the Witch-King. The Grand Sorceress instructs Inquisitor Cass to help them. But before Elaine can leave she is arrested by two Inquisitors on the orders of “the Emperor”. What is going on?

As you can see from the cover below, the style of the first two books is maintained. In Bookworm we saw the lowly and demure Elaine in the Library wearing a hooded cloak. In Bookworm II she is wearing the purple cloak that reflects her status as a Privy Councillor but still shyly looking down, with Johan in the white robes of an apprentice. But now we can see flames licking at the bookcases and a hooded figure in the foreground that is obviously neither Elaine nor Johan. This surely doesn’t bode well…
