This year’s Nine Worlds Geekfest (12th-14th August) will, for the first time, include an Expo – which has been dubbed the Geekfayre. We will be there on a table with our books. More details to follow as soon as we know them.
We’re also very proud to be an official sponsor of Nine Worlds 2016.
So, if you’re going to Nine Worlds anyway, come into the Geekfayre, say hello, have a browse and buy a book or two 😉
We look forward to seeing you there.
In September we will be at FantasyCon by the Sea in Scarborough. It will be our first FantasyCon, so if you’re going to be there please come and say hello to us, we’d love to see you. We’ll be in the Victoria Room selling our books all weekend, and we have a launch party on Saturday for our two latest titles Instrument of Peace by Rebecca Hall and Mandigo and the Hellhounds by Anders Reemark.
Some of our authors will be there too: Christopher Nuttall, Rebecca Hall, Susan Oke, James Starling, Tej Turner, Dave Weaver.
While we’re at FantasyCon we will be having a launch party for our two latest fantasy titles.
Mandigo and the Hellhounds, by Anders Reemark, is the book in the Mandigo trilogy. Translated from the Danish by Nina Sokol it is a classic epic fantasy story, suitable for younger readers but just as gripping for older readers.
When he was eight, Mandigo found a baby on a raft in the river and carried her to Greta, the wise woman who lived in the forest. By the time he was twelve, Greta had taught him some magic, but an evil force was looking for the baby and Greta decided to leave for the baby’s safety. Mandigo would have liked to go with her but his world is suddenly turned upside down with the arrival of a fearsome knight accompanied by a pack of Hellhounds…
The launch party is in the Harbourlights Restaurant in the Grand Hotel from 12-1pm on Saturday. If you’re coming to FantasyCon, please join us at the party.
If you’re going to be at Novacon 46 in Nottingham over the weekend of the 12/13th November, come and join us for the launch of Freedom’s Prisoners.
On Saturday afternoon from 5-6pm in the Downstairs Bar we’ll be launching Freedom’s Prisoners by Katrina Mountfort. This is the third book in the Blueprint trilogy that takes us to a future in which men and women are almost identical, and personal relationships are forbidden. Tensions have escalated since the breakout. Michael and his army of rebels may have won the first battle in their fight against the Citidome authorities, but can they win a war? The Citidomes are fighting back and no-one is safe any more as RotorFighters rain down fire on defenceless villages destroying them and their inhabitants. Freedom’s Prisoners explores betrayal, guilt, hope and endurance in an explosive conclusion to the Blueprint trilogy.
Along with the drinks and books, Katrina will be on hand to read from her book and sign copies.
We will be back at Nine Worlds Geekfest again this year (4-6th August). The vendors will be inside the convention, not in a separate Expo like last year, so we should be easy to find. Come and say hello, have a browse, buy some books. We will have some new books that will be on sale for the first time at Nine Worlds, and a couple that we will be launching there (on Saturday); we expect to be joined by some of our authors too – more details closer to the day. Hope to see you there too.
Oh, and did we mention that we’re Gold Sponsor for Nine Worlds this year?
If you are going to Nine Worlds Geekfest this August, come along to our launch event on Saturday afternoon at 5pm in Mouton Cadet.
Join Zoë Sumra, John Gribbin, and Peter R. Ellis.
Zoë will be reading from her new book The Wages of Sin, the second book in her Underside series (Sailor to a Siren was the first book in the series).
John will be reading from his retrospective anthology of short stories Don’t Look Back.
Then Peter R. Ellis (whose latest book Cold Fire, a September Weekes novel, will be out in eBook on 4th August) will interview them both. There should be time for a few questions from the audience too! There will be refreshments available of course, and copies of the books to buy – they’ll even sign them if you like 😉
It’s in the online programme (as Elsewhen Press presents) so be sure to add it into your personal Grenadine schedule. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
Mike French and Karl Brown will be promoting An Android Awakes and Fictional Alignment at the London Film & Comic Con at Olympia 27-29 July 2018.
More details to follow…
Mike French and Karl Brown will be promoting An Android Awakes and Fictional Alignment at Thought Bubble in Leeds, the largest festival of sequential art in the UK.
Unfortunately, due to illness we won’t be able to attend Novacon this year. We’re very disappointed.
We will be at this year’s Eastercon, Ytterbium, at the Park Inn in Heathrow.
We will have our own Elsewhen Press room, where you will be able to browse and buy our books, talk to various of our attending authors, and more besides…
On the Saturday evening (5:15pm) we will be hosting a launch party for Genesis by Geoffrey Carr in the book launch room.
